I think this wasn't a book cover but a hypothetical movie poster or scene. It's a horror story in the wild west era; the vampire is based on Morena Baccarin, and the victim is Jewel. Paul wanted a classic vampire scene, but instead of that rather overused bite-from-behind pose, I thought of showing the moment just before the bite !
