The story's about an assassination attempt that goes wrong and brings these two together, Callie and Kane. Callie's a rogue-type from a clan of them who consider themselves a family. Kane is noble-born who, until recently, was apprenticed to a sorcerer. Kane overheard King Hugo mention "Three Roses," and he tries to use it as a bargaining chip with Callie's clan in exchange for his freedom...

In other words, a boy and a girl from different tracks meet, having a great adventure!~
